Head of Program / Project Management and Technical Operations

 

Seeking Head of Project Management and Technical Operations who can serve as a transformative, collaborative leader, bringing best practices and tools from the industry to support the growth of Triple Ring Technologies. The ideal candidate will serve as a coach, leader, and mentor to an existing team of high-performance, experienced project managers. The candidate should possess a customer-focused mindset, a willingness to balance the need for process with the need for flexibility, and the ability to work collaboratively across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Reporting directly to the CEO, serve as a key member of the executive management team and provide additional leadership to Triple Ring’s R&D and product development business.

• Establish best-in-class practices to ensure functional excellence in project management and technical operations.

• Coordinate all project management activities and manage an experienced team of project managers.

• Manage technical operations of the company to ensure that projects can be resourced and run efficiently and profitably.

• Ensure that projects adhere to appropriate regulatory and quality standards.

• Extend project-management approaches to internal efforts.

• Collaborate with Sales & Business Development, Practice Area Leadership, and R&D to ensure effective client relationships.

• Effectively represent Triple Ring in discussions, presentations, and conferences with outside parties.

• Upgrade and enhance project management tools, systems, and methods as needed.

• Handle issue escalation and resolution when problems arise.

Education, Experience, and Skills

• BS degree in technical/scientific field required, MS preferred

• 10+ years of professional project management experience within high-tech or life-science fields

• Professional services experience strongly preferred

• Experience working in outsourced/contract R&D, product development, or manufacturing is a plus

• Experience with Lean and/or Agile methods a plus

• Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity in a highly dynamic environment

• Comfort in a matrix organization; demonstrated ability to gain the willing cooperation of individuals and organization that don’t report directly to the candidate

• Ability to forge solid relationships and manage across a broad and geographically dispersed team

• Strong team player and builder, receptive to ideas from others

• Scope of experience that includes both startup and large enterprise desired
