Brown Venture Associates was founded in 1991 by an operating executive to provide senior-level recruiting to the Venture industry. The idea was that we would be allowed to invest becoming a partner in the ongoing success of the company. Like Venture Funds, we use Industry Advisors to provide domain expertise, expand our network, and help us find the best candidates.

In addition we manage an incubator (BVAIncubator). This greatly expands our network as we do due diligence, staff these companies and help get them funded. To our knowledge this is unique in our industry.

Jerry Brown and Aloka R Naskar have worked as a team for the past eight years and have completed more than 200 searches. With our operating experience, diverse backgrounds, huge, rolodex, Advisors’ expertise, we can manage the complexity inherent in the more difficult searches.  Some describe these searches as complex, lots of moving parts, tricky, challenging - This is our specialty.

What do these searches have in common? The common denominator is they tend to be leading edge technology, often hard to explain. They are very time consuming searches.

Why do we focus on these searches? We do it for the opportunity to invest in our clients. Over the years our investments have yielded multiples of our consulting fees.
